for a full-service design studio in Amsterdam (multinational).

The Organization:

This large design agency, with offices in Amsterdam and Eindhoven, is a full-service in-house global design studio with branch specific studios in Europe, the United States and Asia. With approximately 500 professionals they work at several design projects, among which Internet design, product design, Communication design and new media for both internal and external customers.

 

The Job: 

The Project Manager is responsible for the acquisition and sales of projects within existing clients and for the overall account management of these clients. He/she will write and develop Marcom plans for clients and promotes them.

Activities and Responsibilities:

Creates communication strategies under authority of the Senior Design Account Manager, responsible for writing and developing Marcom plans for clients and promoting them, responsible to supports the Director Design Strategy & Management to promote Communication Design services to clients (practical and content), responsible for overall account management for own clients:

•              defining and evaluating Communication Design Gaba and Account plans

•              monitoring financial status on account level

•              building long term relationships on account level

•              define and monitor annual/large project budgets

Assesses client needs, writes winning proposals for small/medium projects, responsible to prepare the signing of contracts and define pricing levels, is responsible to brief creative/project team on small/medium/large projects, responsible for approving Communication Design invoicing within given area, responsible for representing, marcom background in project presentations, safeguard interests of client internally, responsible for monthly updates of project status (folder intranet), responsible for coaching colleagues and young/new employees, represents the Communication Design account team.

 

Requirements

Masters / Bachelors degree in Marketing Communication or equivalent. Minimum of at least 3 years experience, preferably with agency experience having worked for both Consumer and Business to Business accounts. Professional: High level of professional skills, including computer skills. Professionally ambitious. Proven added value in account management. Very good working knowledge of marketing communication (Nima A/B level).

Knowledge of the client’s Communication Strategy. Client and service oriented attitude. Good business command of the English language. The job is fulltime, interim for 6 months.
